Beyond the fiercely competitive chili cook-off\, lively bluegrass music\, Romp 5K run\, and vibrant Artist Market\, Chomp & Stomp is a vital fundraiser for the Cabbagetown Initiative Community Development Corporation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat makes Chomp & Stomp even more special is that it’s entirely run by volunteers (join us!)\, with many hailing from the Cabbagetown neighborhood itself. This deep community involvement ensures that the spirit of the event remains true to its roots. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis 501(c)3 non-profit is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in historic Cabbagetown by maintaining and developing its crucial parks and green spaces\, and even provides an emergency home repair fund for residents in need. DESCRIPTION:On SATURDAY\, MAY 20TH\, the Cabbagetown O-Games will be returning to the ’Hood\, this time with a delightful winter-fresh theme! Each and every street is invited to compete\, because – as we all know – nothing beats a good ol’ fashioned Street-vs-Street brouhaha! But listen up\, y’all. This next bit is very important\, so please\, please\, PLEASE let the following words sink deeply into yer brains: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach street needs to identify a Street Captain ASAP. Each Street Captain MUST contact The Patch Works by Wednesday\, May 10th. This is extremely important\, because there are rules and a registration link that we need to share before Game Day. Each street needs to have a team name and flag. Plus – if y’all really wanna get jiggy with it– uniforms and a fight song can go a long way in psyching out those other streets! There is a suggested donation of $15 per person. The Patch Works relies on yer generosity to keep up its mission to preserve Cabbagetown history!
