SUMMARY:Chomp & Stomp 2025
DESCRIPTION:Chomp & Stomp Atlanta\, GA \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChili Cookoff & Free Outdoor Music Festival \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\njoin us! Since its inception by local neighbors in 2003\, Chomp & Stomp has grown into Atlanta’s most highly anticipated fall festival. This deep community involvement ensures that the spirit of the event remains true to its roots. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis 501(c)3 non-profit is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in historic Cabbagetown by maintaining and developing its crucial parks and green spaces\, and even provides an emergency home repair fund for residents in need. Your participation in Chomp & Stomp directly supports this beloved National Landmark Historic District. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTHANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur sponsors help us keep this event rolling year after year. SUMMARY:Joyce to the World!
DESCRIPTION:Join us in Cabbagetown Park on April 5th and celebrate a local hero: singer-songwriter Joyce Brookshire. In 2018\, Councilperson Natalyn Archibong and the City of Atlanta officially named Cabbagetown’s amphitheatre The Joyce Brookshire Amphitheatre. Since then\, the community has been working to raise money to make improvements to the space that would be worthy of her name. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLast year\, Park Pride awarded Cabbagetown with a grant that helps push this project forward. But the community needs to match the grant! This celebration will help raise some of the funds for this match. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSo\, come hear the music of Joyce Brookshire\, performed by her songwriting partner Elise Witt\, as well as friends and neighbors. Cabbagetown is proud to continue her legacy with a permanent home for music in the new Joyce Brookshire Amphitheatre designed by Martin Rickles Studio. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVisitors will see the 3d model unveiled\, & meet the architects!

DESCRIPTION:The Legacy of Jacob Elsas:  A Man’s Commitment to Atlanta\n\n\n\n\n\nNina and Jacob Elsas – Co-Founders of The Patch Works Art & History Center in Cabbagetown – will present “The Legacy of Jacob Elsas: A Man’s Commitment to Atlanta.” They will discuss his transition from a 19th-century\, working-class European-Jewish immigrant into one of the United States’ most successful industrialists. His philanthropic efforts\, many of which revolved around education and healthcare\, continue to provide Atlantans with their services to this day. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nNOTE: Buckhead Heritage sponsors a variety of events throughout the year that relate to the history of Buckhead. Active Members are given priority of attendance\, but most events will be open to the public when space is available. Since then\, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give\, collaborate\, and celebrate generosity. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin the movement and give – each Tuesday and every day – whether it’s some of your time\, a donation\, or the power of your voice in your local community. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt’s a simple idea: whether it’s making someone smile\, helping a neighbor or stranger out\, showing up for an issue or people we care about\, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help\, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to contribute toward building the better world we all want to live in.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease Consider Supporting The Patch Works!
